Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has faced several criticisms:

1. **Corruption Allegations**: He has been linked to a suspicious transaction of $300 million in an FBI memo and is under investigation for alleged embezzlement related to the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant[1].

2. **Human Rights and Misinformation**: UN rapporteurs accused him of spreading misinformation about human rights abuses in Bangladesh. He was also criticized for defending the government's stance on attacks against atheists[1].

3. **Political Controversies**: Joy claimed that foreign powers instigated protests in Bangladesh, which some saw as deflecting domestic issues[3]. His comments on the quota reform movement were controversial, equating certain slogans with offensive chants[2].

4. **Criticism from Media and Public Figures**: His statements have been described as "pathetic" by some media outlets, such as *The Guardian*[1].
