I was driving in the left lane when this guy pulled out from the left turn lane right in front of me and left me no room to avoid him, and now my 2024 Sienna XSE looks like this. The bumper is ripped open, the headlight area is exposed, the grille is damaged, and I already know insurance is going to act like this is a simple $900 bumper job from a blurry photo. A body shop told me damage like this can easily run $6,000 to $12,000 once they start finding sensors, brackets, paint work, and hidden support damage. How is it fair that someone can cut across traffic and I am the one stuck praying the repair does not turn into a total nightmare?

It is incredibly disheartening to walk out to your vehicle and find this waiting for you. My wife and I parked our van in what we thought was a perfectly safe, busy shopping center lot while we were running some afternoon errands. We came back an hour later to find the entire rear quarter glass completely shattered. The most baffling part is that absolutely nothing was taken from the inside. It seems like someone just decided to smash it for fun and walk away. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of random, senseless vandalism lately, and did your insurance cover the glass replacement without jacking up your premium?

I am trying to stay calm because the important part is that all 4 kids are okay, but I am absolutely sick looking at this van. We worked so hard to get a fully loaded Platinum AWD Sienna in Cypress, had it almost paid off, and one accident might wipe out years of payments in one afternoon. The worst part is people keep saying “at least it is just a car” like replacing a loaded family van is as simple as grabbing milk from the store. Would you push insurance hard for full replacement value or just accept whatever number they throw at you?

I am demanding immediate criminal charges against the completely reckless pickup truck driver who destroyed our family van! I was sitting in traffic minding my own business when this absolute maniac slammed into the back of my 2013 Sienna shattering the glass all over the groceries I just bought! When I got out to demand his insurance information he actually laughed and said it was my fault for driving such an old car and that it was probably already totaled anyway! ALREADY TOTALED?? This van only has 115,000 miles and ran perfectly before he smashed the entire rear hatch in! Now my insurance company is forcing a total loss with a measly $10,000 payout and my wife told me we will have to empty our savings just to buy a replacement because this entitled jerk refuses to accept any responsibility. Am I overreacting by organizing a massive social media campaign to publicly shame him and get his driver license permanently revoked?

I am completely sick to my stomach over the absolute greed of local car dealerships right now. I was rear ended in a massive five car pileup at 50mph and my insurance company completely totaled my brand new 2025 Toyota Sienna XLE because of severe internal frame damage. My wife and I were incredibly thankful our toddler and my elderly mother walked away perfectly safe while I deal with a terrible concussion. I took my insurance payout check for $45,000 straight to the Toyota dealership to buy the exact same van to replace it and the salesman actually laughed in my face! He pointed to a basic replacement on the lot and told me there was a mandatory $8,500 market adjustment fee on top of the MSRP just because of supply shortages! AN $8,500 MARKUP?? I am literally buying a replacement for a wrecked family vehicle not a luxury sports car! I refused to pay a single cent of their extortion and he told me good luck walking to work. Am I overreacting for wanting to report this shady dealership to the state attorney general for blatant price gouging victims of car accidents?

I cannot believe I am already dealing with this on a Sienna that barely has 1000 miles on it. We drove 500 miles to visit family, parked away from everyone like paranoid new car owners, and somehow these scratches showed up all along the windshield pillar before I even got to put the first coat of wax on it. The Toyota service advisor looked at it for 10 seconds and said, “That is normal road contact.” Normal road contact? On the same angled panel, all going the same direction, with deeper marks below? I did not buy a new van so it could look like it got dragged through a car wash with sandpaper before the first oil change.

My friend borrowed my car and brought it back looking like it tried to eat a snowbank. I’m standing there staring at the cracked front bumper, the scraped-up grille, the broken trim hanging off the side, and he’s trying to explain it like it’s just a little scuff. A little scuff is something you buff out. This looks like the front end lost an argument with a trailer hitch and then got dragged through half the driveway. Now I’m stuck trying to decide what’s worse: the repair bill or the fact that I trusted someone with my keys in the first place.

My brother-in-law asked to borrow my truck for “one quick run” to grab firewood, and somehow it came back looking like it lost a fight with an entire logging company. He told me he “slid a little” because of the snow. A LITTLE?? The hood is folded, the bumper is twisted, the grille is smashed in, and it’s chained to a trailer like it’s being dragged out of a crime scene. Then he had the nerve to say, “Honestly, it still looks fixable.” Fixable by who, a magician? This was my daily truck, not some be**er I bought to sacrifice to the mountains. Now I’m staring at a wrecked GMC, waiting on insurance, and he thinks offering to “help buff it out” is an apology. How do you even respond to someone destroying your truck and acting like the snow did most of the work?

The phrase “rear-ended” sounds way too small for what actually happened here. Rear-ended makes it sound like a little bump in traffic. This was police lights, debris in the road, a crushed side, a bent front end, and me standing there wondering how my car became the evening entertainment at an intersection. The guy who hit me just kept repeating that it happened so fast, like that explains the damage. Of course it happened fast. That’s usually how crashing into someone works. Now I’m the one stuck calling insurance, arranging a tow, figuring out a rental, and hoping they don’t try to lowball me on a vehicle I still need every day.

I’m still trying to understand how a normal drive turned into this. I was stopped, minding my business, and an older driver came up behind me like brake lights were just a suggestion. Next thing I know, I’m standing in the middle of an intersection with police lights everywhere, my GMC smashed up, the front corner folded in, pieces on the road, and everyone asking me if I’m okay like I’m not staring at a repair bill forming in real time. He kept saying he “didn’t see me.” Didn’t see a whole SUV at a red light?? I’m glad nobody was seriously hurt, but I’m furious. One careless moment from someone else and now I get the claim number, the deductible, the rental headache, and weeks of dealing with insurance.
