David Moore, a piano, a return to RVNG Intl, the label that first introduced Bing & Ruth into the public consciousness.
Pointe Nimbus at first presents itself as deceptively simple. A call and response that brings to mind Satie, or Brian Eno’s By This River. Permutations, pauses, and pliant meters create allusions to time lag accumulations of Terry Riley or the modern uncanny valley sequencing of Aphex Twins Avril 14th shorn of any reliance on technology. Notes bleed away, fall in almost the wrong place and ever so slightly confound the quiet expectation that everything is going to be ok.

Stygian Bough Volume II arrives this fall and they will be performing live this winter. A full European tour with support from 40 Watt Sun goes on sale this Thursday, September 25th, at 10am local. North American dates and album info will follow shortly.
Bobby Cochran expertly used Sergei Parajanov's The Color of Pomegranates as a muse for this trailer which captures the dreamlike qualities of this first taste of music from Volume II.

Tomorrow is Bandcamp Friday and Yob will be offering some extremely limited items for sale from their archives.
They have clear vinyl “friends and family” editions of Atma, The Great Cessation and Elaborations of Carbon. These were pressed in editions of 100 and never before offered for sale.
They’ll also be selling test pressings for Our Raw Heart, Clearing the Path to Ascend, Atma, The Great Cessation and Catharsis. There are only three copies of each title available and they’ll go on sale tomorrow at 10am EST.
