A rainy morning walk through Saint-Malo. 🇫🇷

Before we left for our holiday in France, we received these beautiful collars from and took them along right away. The Onyx design looks great in an urban setting and really suits Odin! 💎

Omaha Beach 🏖️🪖

One of the next stops on our French road trip — the famous Omaha Beach.

We started by visiting the Les Braves monument, which commemorates the courage of the soldiers who fought here for freedom on June 6, 1944. Afterwards, we explored a nearby museum, and then returned to the beach for a peaceful walk along the shore.

The beach is surprisingly long, with soft orange sand… but there’s a unique and heavy feeling knowing what happened here decades ago. This stretch of coastline was one of the most intense battlegrounds on D-Day — with the highest number of casualties among all Allied sectors.

That said — Odin enjoyed the beach to the fullest! He ran, dug holes, and nearly decided to stay there forever.

Happy Thursday! 🤍🐾

Mont Saint Michel 🏰🇫🇷

One of those bucket-list places we’ve always wanted to visit — and this year, we finally did. This fairytale-like structure rising out of the bay looks like something straight out of a fantasy movie. And trust us, it’s even more breathtaking in real life.

We definitely recommend visiting outside the main tourist season and early in the morning if possible — it gets really crowded. If you’re traveling with a dog, be prepared for narrow alleyways where things can get a bit tight.

There’s a large parking area nearby, and from there, shuttle buses take you to Mont Saint Michel. Unfortunately, pets aren’t allowed on the buses, so staying in a nearby hotel or Airbnb and taking a scenic walk is a great option.

Fun fact: During low tide, the sea completely recedes, turning the island into a fortress surrounded by sand. But beware — the tide comes back in quickly and dramatically, said to be “as fast as a galloping horse.”

Have you already visited Mont Saint Michel, or is it still on your list?

Happy Tuesday! 🐺🤍🐾
