🌍 THE FIREWORKS LINE-UP
🇬🇧 UNITED KINGDOM
🇺🇸 UNITED STATES
🇰🇷 KOREA
The fireworks will be presented as a large-scale music-and-light spectacle over the Han River. This year’s Korean finale will also feature new visual productions including “Tower Fireworks” around Wonhyo Bridge and a symmetrical “Decalcomania” effect across the river. (Visit Seoul)
🚇 HOW TO GET THERE — SUBWAY IS THE BEST OPTION
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Don’t depend on your car tomorrow.
Huge crowds are expected — around 1 million people across the wider festival area — and major roads will be closed or controlled. Seoul authorities strongly recommend public transportation. (미래한강본부(한강공원))
🚇 Recommended stations:
📍 Yeouido Station
Lines 5 & 9
➡️ Recommended exits: 4 & 5
📍 Saetgang Station
Lines 9 & Shinlim Line
➡️ Recommended exits: 2 & 3
📍 Mapo Station
Line 5
➡️ Recommended exits: 1 & 4
⚠️ Avoid relying on Yeouinaru Station!
Yeouinaru Station on Line 5 is the closest station, but between approximately 7 PM–10 PM, if the station becomes dangerously crowded, trains may pass through without stopping and entrances may be temporarily closed.
👉 Seoul is therefore recommending that visitors spread out through Yeouido, Mapo and Saetgang stations instead. (Seoul News)
🚆 On September 5, Seoul is also increasing subway service by approximately:
• Line 5 — 18 additional services
• Line 9 — 65 additional services
• 83 additional services in total
But even with extra trains, expect serious congestion. (미래한강본부(한강공원))
🚗 MAJOR ROAD CLOSURES
⚠️ Yeouidong-ro:
3:00 PM – midnight — full closure
⚠️ Wonhyo Bridge:
9:00 AM Sept. 5 – 3:00 AM Sept. 6 — full road & pedestrian closure
⚠️ 63 Building-side Hangang Park parking lot:
Closed from Sept. 4 evening through Sept. 5 midnight.
Other roads may also be controlled depending on crowd conditions.
🚫 Don’t park on bridges or nearby viewing roads. Vehicles can be towed if they interfere with safety controls. (Seoul News)
👀 WHERE CAN YOU WATCH?
🎆 Yeouido Hangang Park
➡️ Closest, most immersive experience
➡️ FREE general viewing
➡️ Expect extremely large crowds
🌉 Ichon Hangang Park
➡️ Across the river
➡️ Excellent wider view of the fireworks
➡️ FREE general viewing
🏝️ Nodeul Island
➡️ Special Orange Play Zone
➡️ Paid/ticketed area in 2026
➡️ Not part of the normal free viewing arrangement
📌 Seoul officially lists Yeouido and Ichon Hangang Parks as the main event-area parks, while Nodeul Island’s Orange Play Zone operates as a paid viewing area. (미래한강본부(한강공원))
🍔 FOOD & FACILITIES
A large official food-truck zone will operate near the Mulbit Stage area:
🕐 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM
🚻 Temporary facilities have also been expanded, with 94 temporary toilets installed across Yeouido and Ichon Hangang Parks.
♻️ After the fireworks, visitors are encouraged to participate in the Clean Time and take their rubbish with them. (미래한강본부(한강공원))
🛡️ SEOUL IS PREPARING FOR THE CROWD
This isn’t a small local fireworks show.
👮 6,800 safety personnel are being deployed around the festival and transport areas.
🚑 Emergency medical teams and 6 emergency medical stations will operate around Yeouido and Ichon.
🚢 45 patrol boats will help manage safety on the Han River.
📹 Crowd density will also be monitored through CCTV and real-time systems. (Seoul News)
⚠️ MY BIGGEST TIP FOR TOMORROW:
If you want a good FREE viewing spot, don’t arrive at 7:30 PM expecting to find an easy place.
This is a massive event.
Bring:
✅ Picnic mat
✅ Water
✅ Snacks
✅ Portable battery
✅ Light jacket
✅ Comfortable shoes
✅ Mosquito repellent
✅ Small rubbish bag
And most importantly:
🚇 GO BY SUBWAY
⏰ ARRIVE EARLY
🚫 DON’T DEPEND ON YEOUINARU STATION FOR YOUR EXIT
📱 CHECK LIVE TRANSPORT INFORMATION BEFORE LEAVING
Because the hardest part may not be getting there…
It may be getting HOME after the fireworks. 😳🚇
