ভারতের কিংবদন্তি গায়ক ও সুরকার বাপ্পি লাহিড়ী মারা গেছেন। মঙ্গলবার রাতে মুম্বাইয়ের ক্রিটি কেয়ার হাসপাতালে শেষ নিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন। মৃত্যুকালে তার বয়স হয়েছিল ৬৯ বছর। খবর জিনিউজের। খবরে বলা হয়, বেশ কিছুদিন ধরেই হাসপাতালে ভর্তি ছিলেন তিনি। গত বছর তিনি করোনা আক্রান্ত হন। যদিও সেই সময়ে সুস্থ হয়ে বাড়ি ফিরে আসেন তিনি। তিনি ১৯৭০-৮০ দশকের শেষের দিকে চলতে চলতে, ডিস্কো ডান্সার এবং শারাবির মতো বেশ কয়েকটি ছবিতে আইকনিক গান পরিবেশনের মাধ্যমে জনপ্রিয়তা অর্জন করেন। তার শেষ বলিউড গান ছিল ২০২০ সালের বাঘি ৩ ভঙ্কাস। সঙ্গীত জগতে একের পর এক তারকা পতন, লতা মঙ্গেশকরের পরই সন্ধ্যা মুখোপাধ্যায়, সেই শোক কাটতে না কাটতেই প্রয়াত সুরকার, গীতিকার বাপ্পি লাহিড়ী।
