Still some brief arctic blasts, but overall much of the nation is warm over the next couple weeks. Much less snow chances outside of the mountains or Canada.

We could be shaping it up for a frigid January. Let's dive in and plan out that Christmas forecast.

Clippers galore . As the West stays warm and the Plains into the East deal with a major arctic blast we have a few snow systems and lake effect to watch.

Some of the warmer air spreads east next week.

No big warm-ups in sight—just multiple Arctic blasts sending wind chills below zero in spots. Clippers will be frequent, and while they’re small, the snow adds up farther south than usual for early winter.

Of course out West it's a totally different story with very mild air. But we'll start adding up some mountain snow with increased moisture.
