At Invest In Access one of our Core Values is Transformation, and as we write this post, we’re thinking back to 2018 when Jo Cook at Sun & Soil Design guided us to understand that if we wanted to be among the leaders in national accessibility - we’d need a strong web presence with a way for people to get in touch. In a western society where social media is king, we’re here to tell you that just as JC said, a web presence has made all the difference.
The Contact Us form within our website is where The Broadway League first wrote to us in 2020. We had the opportunity to secure accessibility services quarterly throughout the global pandemic and now that in person events are resuming - we’re grateful that Broadway League has entrusted us to continue alongside them in person; most recently for the Broadway League Spring Road Conference pictured here.
Up Next: The Jimmy Awards! The Jimmy Awards, named after Broadway Producer and theater owner James (Jimmy) M. Nederlander. The John Gore Organization—Broadway's leading developer, producer, distributor and marketer of theatre worldwide—made a significant contribution to our new UF School of Theatre + Dance theatre management program that prepares students for successful careers in the North American theatre community.
“I’m particularly pleased that we are joined by so many friends and colleagues representing nearly every sector of the community, from artists to management, from union heads to theater operators, and from restaurant workers to hospitality professionals. These people are the lifeblood of this neighborhood and this is the first occasion we’ve had in quite a long time to be together.” – John Gore Organization COO Lauren Reid on bringing back Broadway
A standing ovation to the incredible, inspiring panelists behind yesterday’s special virtual event hosted by the John Gore Organization. We were honored to have this group of women from various fields of the theater industry discuss the many challenges faced during the pandemic, highlight accomplishments, provide insights on lessons learned and, above all, celebrate women’s achievements.
We are excited to announce this $600,000 gift from John Gore to the National Theater Institute scholarship endowment. The John Gore Scholarship will support students from underrepresented backgrounds and ensure that NTI can advance access, opportunity, and representation in American culture.
“In this uncertain time, it is critical to invest in the future. We are thrilled to provide this support for NTI to help provide the training for the next generation of theater creators and performers to develop the shows that will engage audiences for years to come.” - John Gore, Chairman and CEO of the John Gore Organization
Make a statement the world will remember in this tough time!!!!!! Use your strengths!!!!
Just sent the following message to John Gore. "Very disappointed to find out that John Gore - a man made rich by the theatre, itself normally a profoundly democratic and liberal art - is the single largest donor to the Tory party; shame on you, John." Please feel free to do the same, and invite all your friends to do so as well.
