APPEAL FOR SUPPORT TO REBUILD TANINIHUN KAPUIMA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

The people of Taninihun Kapuima Dasse Chiefdom, Moyamba District are making a passionate appeal to the Government of Sierra Leone, Ministry of Health, philanthropists, and all people with good hearts to come to our aid in rebuilding our hospital.

Their only community hospital was burnt down by fire some time back. Since then, thousands of women, children, elderly and the sick have been left without access to basic healthcare. Patients now travel long distances, and many lives are at risk.

On the 28th August, 2026, community members and youth came together to clean the site as a sign of our commitment and readiness to work with any partner as 12 communities dependon these only health centre.

They are crying out for help. We cannot do this alone.
And they humbly ask for support in cash, building materials, medical equipment, or any form of assistance to restore healthcare in our chiefdom.

MOYAMBA DISTRICT, August 28, 2026.

Residents of Taninihun Kapuima Dasse Chiefdom, Moyamba District have come together in a community cleanup exercise to clear the space where their hospital is situated.

The health facility was burnt down by fire some time back, leaving debris and overgrown vegetation at the site.

Community members, youth groups, and local leaders gathered early this morning to clear bushes, remove rubble, and restore the area. The effort is aimed at preparing the grounds for future rebuilding and to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents who depend on the hospital for healthcare services.

Speaking during the exercise, local authorities commended the unity and commitment shown by the people, noting that the cleanup is a strong step toward advocating for the reconstruction of the hospital.

Residents say they remain hopeful that government and partners will support efforts to rebuild the facility soon.

The people of Taninihun Kapuima through the help of the chiefs have come together to clean up the space where their hospital 🏥 was situated which was burnt down by fire some times back.

These is to tell the government, through the ministry of health that the are really crying to get their health centre as part of community ownership.
