A tale of the American Dream derailed, A-Town Boyz is about the REAL ISSUES facing new immigrants and their children. Help bring their stories to light by backing our project.

2 WEEKS to make it happen. Every donation really counts: www.atownboyzmovie.tilt.com

The parents who immigrated to the US embracing the American dream realized very soon that the dream was harder to attain than imagined. But seeing their children, they found a new kind of dream. Our documentary serves to highlight these stories. Please help us do so: http://bit.ly/1B349Up #family #aapi #atlanta

There is no greater accolade for a production company than to receive feedback like this... Thank you Faith Inspired for bringing our doc and its message to new frontiers.

“To the creators of this documentary, firstly I’d just like to say thank you. You did a big humanitarian effort. Like was mentioned in the documentary, we all have an obligation. We’re part of one world and we can really play your part."

Just a sample of the viewers response to the recent screening of 'Through the Fire'.

The racism & bullying that AAPI children face in schools and neighborhoods lead to cognitive-behavioral issues and hurt the chances of a healthy transition into adulthood. What pragmatic efforts can we make to save the children of our AAPI communities from the harms of bullying? Our documentary serves as a witness to these effects, while also highlighting the positive impacts made by enlightened members of our AAPI community. 3 hours to the New Year, 3 reasons to back our film:

NO 1. IT TELLS THE REAL STORIES OF THE SILENT MAJORITY

Help us finish the feature: https://atownboyzmovie.tilt.com

While the media says that Asian Americans earn higher income than other minority groups, they remain among the fastest growing poverty group with the highest long-term unemployment rate.

A-TOWN BOYZ examines Asian and Pacific Islander families of working-class immigrant or refugee backgrounds who are overworked and struggling to make ends meet. It eradicates the "Tiger Mom" myth too often perpetuated in our mainstream American culture. Won't you join us in bringing real facts and stories to light? Please go to atownboyzmovie.com/donate

MUST READ INTERVIEW WITH IMAN

An article about the wonderful Iman in which she explains why she supports the Dr Hawa Abdi Foundation and we should too:

"Set up by Dr Hawa Abdi, Somalia's first female gynaecologist and a nominee for the Nobel Prize, the foundation has fearlessly defended the rights of ordinary Somalis... Last year a documentary was made of its work, Through the Fire. "I didn't expect it but I cried my heart out watching it."

Iman is the Somalian exile whose fierce spirit drove her to become the world's first black supermodel. Now she's working to bring health and education to her homeland. She talks to Carole Cadwalladr about racism in modelling – and a secret holiday in London with her husband, David Bowie
