Google has introduced the Agent Payments Protocol (AP2), a new open system that lets AI agents make payments safely on behalf of users.

It works with credit cards, bank transfers, and even stablecoins, with a crypto extension built with Coinbase and the Ethereum Foundation.

Google says AP2 is meant to create a safe, shared foundation for AI-driven payments across platforms and industries worldwide.
