Belgium has officially won us over. 🇧🇪🧇✨
If you’ve spent time in NYC, chances are you’ve spotted the iconic yellow Wafels & Dinges trucks or kiosks. What started in 2007 as a single vintage yellow Chevy truck serving authentic Belgian waffles has grown into one of New York City’s most recognizable food brands. Their mission? To introduce New Yorkers to real Belgian waffles—not the typical pancake-style version many of us grew up with.
This time, we visited their Upper West Side café, the only NYC location serving a full brunch menu, and it did not disappoint! 🥰

Their famous Liège waffles are made from a rich yeast dough with authentic Belgian pearl sugar. As the waffles cook, the sugar caramelizes into a crispy golden crust while the inside stays soft, buttery, and chewy—a completely different experience from a traditional Belgian waffle.
Whether you’re craving brunch, dessert, or just a cozy coffee break, this is one of those classic NYC spots that’s worth adding to your list.
Have you tried a Liège waffle before? Sweet or savory—which one would you order first? 🧇💛
