Help! Almost done bathroom Reno but I cut the damn copper stub too short!

I measure this right, or so I thought. Don’t think it’s seated against the rubber seal. Now it’s leaking out the back. I’ve tried plumbers tape. Didn’t work. I don’t think an adapter will work here as there is not enough bite.

Not sure what options I have here.

Because that’s exactly what happened to me.

Looked like a normal bin. Clipped it with my Mustang. Didn’t move an inch. Felt like hitting a concrete barrier.
Now my car is basically totaled—over something that’s supposed to be… trash.

And before anyone says “pay attention while driving”—why would anyone expect a TRASH CAN to be a 500-pound immovable object??
I’ve already contacted the police.
So who’s actually at fault here? Be honest.

Contractor keeps saying it’ll even out when it cures — but right now it looks like a patchwork job.

If it stays like this, I’m not accepting it.

When did tipping expectations begin shifting toward 25%? Not long ago, a 20% tip was widely considered both appropriate and generous. Now, however, it often feels as though anything below 25% is quietly viewed as inadequate.
That is where much of the frustration seems to come from. Tipping appears to have moved away from being a way to reward genuinely good service and toward becoming an unspoken obligation with no clearly understood standard. When expectations rise without being openly defined, confusion and resentment are almost inevitable.
Most people are not opposed to tipping itself. They simply want a clear understanding of what is considered reasonable without feeling judged for not exceeding it. So the question remains: does 20% still represent a fair standard, or has 25% truly become the new expectation? 😊 🙏 🎁 💰 🤑 💸
