New build. Was told the original color was Agreeable Gray by Sherman Williams. It is clearly not as my patch is obviously different (yes it is dry in the photo). Any ideas? My entire house is this color.

I’m not sure I’d accept this as finished. I hired a local company with 25 years of experience to replace my steps and driveway, but the first part of the job has me questioning things.

During the pour, the form on the left side apparently blew out, leaving that side of the steps noticeably slanted. The top step also has a rise of about 5.5" on one side and 6.5" on the other, while the other steps are around 7". So the risers aren’t consistent.

On top of that, the finish has some pretty rough areas, including what looks like honeycombing and jagged edges.

I haven’t paid anything yet, and they’re still supposed to replace the driveway. At this point, I’m honestly worried about letting them continue.

Would you ask them to tear these steps out and redo them, or give them a chance to fix the issues? And if I decide to bring in another contractor, how is payment for the work already done usually handled?

Looking for some honest opinions from people who know concrete and construction.

I’d love some advice on what to do with this large, blank wall underneath my staircase. It feels like such an empty, unused area right now, and I’m not sure whether I should decorate it, add some type of feature, or create something more functional.

I’m also wondering if I should do anything with the wall above the staircase to help tie the whole space together. I don’t want it to feel overly busy, but I’d love to give this area more character and make better use of all that blank wall space.

Would you add artwork, molding, built-ins, shelving, a console or some other feature? I’m open to ideas and would really appreciate any suggestions or inspiration!

If you’re too damn lazy to walk down the street and pick up your own food, apparently this is what happens.

I just watched one of these little delivery robots drive straight off the sidewalk and FLIP OVER, and now somebody’s food is sitting sideways inside this thing

Like imagine being so lazy you couldn’t go pick up your own damn order, so you trusted a dang robot on wheels to do it for you.

And now your dinner is laying on its side on the sidewalk.

At what point did we decide walking 5 minutes to get your food was too much work?!

LA really has people paying extra to have a tiny robot struggle through traffic, curbs, pedestrians and sidewalks just so they don’t have to leave the house.

Get your lazy butt up and go get your own food.

Fixing a toilet leak. I took 2 trips to Home Depot, worked with a hernia, had a pain in the ass time putting the wax ring and screws on...only to install the toilet and forgetting about the door. I'm an idiot.

HELP!! Rotor Change (gone wrong…)
Over the weekend, buddy and I went on the adventure of trying to replace my rotor.

Rotor screw was trash, star stripped at the slightest of turns, which leads me to think it was a soft metal.

After doing some research online, people were saying to drill out the bolt. Tried, nothing. Then others mentioned to use a dremel. Well about 30 minutes or so later, this is where we landed. Still was unable to get it off. Any ideas?
