A little fall in your feed 🍂🍁😊

The foliage around our property is finally starting to change! Just a few trees are turning so far, but the ones farther back are finally starting to look a little more like fall. Even the sumac that started growing this year is beginning to change just a bit. 🌿🍂

We’re not at peak foliage yet, but it’s slowly happening! I’m looking forward to seeing all those beautiful yellows, oranges and reds pop. 🍁

🦇🎃🌳 A little 90s Halloween nostalgia hanging in my lilac tree!

These Dollar Tree bats have been hanging in my tree for **SEASON 4** now! 🎃🦇 And considering we get plenty of rain, frost and unpredictable Upstate NY weather, they have held up surprisingly well.

They’re such an easy way to add some Halloween atmosphere without spending much. Just hang them throughout the branches using a grabber tool — Dollar Tree sells those too — or use a step ladder if you need one.

The lilac tree handles them just fine, and once they’re up, they give the tree that fun spooky look without a lot of work. 🖤

I love decorations like this because they remind me of those simple, nostalgic 90s Halloween decorations. You don’t need an expensive setup to make your yard feel festive! 🎃🦇

🐰🎃 Easy DIY Halloween Costume Idea — Bunny! 🐇

Sharing this easy family-friendly costume idea from a few years ago because it was **so simple, affordable, comfortable AND warm!** ❤️

I used:
🐰 Bunny ears from Dollar Tree that I had left over from Easter
🤍 A white sweater
🖤 Black jeans + black shoes
🎨 Black eyeliner to draw on whiskers
🤍 White eyeliner + white face paint to add a little fur
🩷 A Q-tip with pink lipstick to dab on the nose, then I drew a little heart for the bunny nose

I also painted my nails white and pink to finish the look! 💅🏻🐰

You could easily switch it up with a **pink or brown sweater** too!

I got SO many compliments when I wore this, and the kids at my son's Halloween parade even pointed me out as **the rabbit!** 🥹🐇

Proof that you don't need an expensive costume to have a cute Halloween look. And honestly, being **comfortable and warm** was a huge bonus! 😂🎃

Sharing some photos of the foliage outside my house 🍁🍂

It’s starting to turn, but I’m noticing quite a bit of brown already, which feels unusual for this time of year. One of the trees nearby was actually struck by lightning over the summer in my neighbor’s backyard, so I’m wondering if that could have anything to do with some of the early leaf loss.

I’m still looking forward to seeing the yellow these maples usually turn later this month. 🍂💛 I’ll be sharing a comparison of last year vs. this year because I already know the display probably won’t be quite as bright this year. Some trees have lost their leaves early, and normally by Halloween our backyard is absolutely glowing — bright yellow as far as the eye can see. 🍁💛
