The E train is getting an exceptionally sporty makeover this week.

On Thursday, August 21, ESPN is transforming the MTA’s E line into the ESPN line, where riders can expect mascots, bands and even Stephen A. Smith.

The inaugural ride leaves from the World Trade Center stop and will be packed with some of the city’s most recognizable mascots and sports personalities including Mr. and Mrs. Met, Syracuse University’s Otto the Orange, the New Jersey Devil, and even the New York Giants’ G-Line Band—because nothing says “good morning” like brass horns blasting underground.

If you thought the U.S. Open was all about baseline rallies and hard-fought tiebreaks, think again. This year, Tiffany & Co. is serving up as much sparkle as spin with its 2025 pop-up at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, including a diamond-encrusted tennis racket.

Grand Central commuters, brace yourselves: Your evening sprint to the 7 train just got a lot more glamorous.

For the first time, Grey Goose is bringing its iconic U.S. Open cocktail—the Honey Deuce—out of Arthur Ashe Stadium and into the city’s busiest concourse with a limited-time bar pop-up.

Dubbed the "Last Serve Bar," the pop-up takes over the east side of Vanderbilt Hall from August 27–29, timed perfectly with the opening days of the Open. The idea is simple but genius: Give fans rushing to and from Flushing Meadows one more chance to raise a glass before their train home. Because what’s a match without the tournament’s unofficial accessory, that frosty highball dotted with three honeydew melon “tennis balls”?

Grab your pointe shoes and your double cup. Future’s era-defining trap opus DS2 is about to plié its way onto the Brooklyn Academy of Music stage.

On Friday, September 19, Grand Marnier is teaming up with the multi-platinum rapper for DS2 Remixed: The Ballet, a one-night-only spectacle at BAM’s Howard Gilman Opera House that promises to fuse rap, dance and high fashion into something entirely new.

Central Park has lost one of its most secret—and sweetest—traditions 💔

The “Furever Tree,” an 18-foot Hinoki false cypress tucked deep inside The Ramble, has been cut down after more than four decades of service as New York’s unofficial pet memorial.

For years, dog owners, cat lovers and even squirrel enthusiasts flocked to the tree every holiday season to hang laminated photos, ornaments and notes for four-legged friends no longer with us.

But after months of decline, the Central Park Conservancy quietly removed the tree in August.

London’s cult Indian spot hits NYC in 2026, and we can't wait.

After years of speculation (and a wildly popular breakfast pop-up at Pastis last summer), the cult-favorite group has confirmed it will open a New York City location in 2026, per Eater[.](https://mrf.lu/Tvfx exact address is still hush-hush, but Dishoom’s debut marks a major moment in the increasingly buzzy wave of Indian restaurants expanding from the U.K. to the U.S.

These days, you need to carbo-load just to make it through the subways. (Who knew we'd all become amateur spelunkers?) And for one very special day, you'll have a prime opportunity to load up on biscuits, fried chicken and much more before you brave the MTA.

Cracker Barrel, the Southern restaurant chain known for its chicken and dumplings, front porch rocking chairs and general store-meets-diner aesthetic, is rolling into New York City with a pop-up that promises a full-on “taste of country” in the heart of the Meatpacking District. On Thursday, August 21, from 10am to 6pm, Gansevoort Plaza will temporarily transform into a slice of roadside Americana, complete with homestyle bites, line dancing, lawn games and plenty of gingham.
