Inspired by Julia Cameron's "The Artist's Way," the great book on creative renewal...

I photographed various NY-based artists for my exhibit "Artists' Ways."
It's at the Filmshop house (building 4B) on Governors Island.
And some of those artists have their cool work on display!

Artist I profiled: Joshua Gen Solondz, in a hallway of his artist studio.
I met Solondz, an artist/filmmaker, at the Ucross Foundation Residency in Spring 2023.
Very cool to see his reaction to my photo. 📸 😆

Check it out Saturdays and Sundays only, 11am - 5pm, until August 31.
It's a short (less than 10 minutes) ferry ride away from Manhattan's South Ferry.

Led by mixed media artist Jessica Rechner (who is featured in my exhibit "Artists' Ways), she guided us in exploring and expressing our inner selves via writing and art-making with various materials.

Artist I profiled: Dylan Castagnette, dancing in his room.
I met Castagnette, a Mauritian filmmaker and project manager, through a mutual friend.
He was reading "The Artist's Way" and inspired me to read the book again.
