I spent way too long wondering why my brim wasn’t actually touching my print. 🐘
Brim-object gap: 0mm
Still a gap.
Turns out, Elephant Foot Compensation was shrinking the first layer and effectively adding that distance back in.
If you’re fighting warping and really need the extra adhesion, try setting Elephant Foot Compensation to 0 and then use Brim-object gap to control the separation you actually want.
At 0mm + 0mm, expect the brim to be harder to remove, but I’d rather spend a minute with a deburring tool than lose a multi-hour print.
Hopefully this saves someone else from learning this one the hard way.
