The Ghana Army and the French Armed Forces have strengthened their security cooperation through a two-week Trainer of Trainers (ToT) Intermediate Course in Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) preparedness.
Held at Michel Camp from 14 September 2026, the training equipped personnel from the Ghana Army School of Am******on and Explosives Regiment (GASAE) and the 851 Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Regiment with advanced skills in preparing for, responding to and recovering from CBRN incidents.
The training forms part of ongoing Ghana–France defence cooperation, with both sides highlighting the importance of strengthening national capacity to address emerging security threats involving hazardous materials and chemical incidents.
Further CBRN training and cooperation between the Ghana Armed Forces and the French Armed Forces are expected in 2027, including potential training opportunities in Ghana and France.
