Join @melindagates and other leaders to call on Congress to seize this once-in-a-generation opportunity to pass a long overdue paid family and medical leave policy.

Unless we act, this opportunity may slip away—with huge consequences for women, families, and the U.S. economy.

Here are two steps you can take today: 1) Call (202) 224-3121 to contact your members of Congress and urge them to keep paid leave in the budget package. 2) Spread the word. Share this post with your friends and family, and tag 3 people who care about this issue.

We’ve never been closer to passing #PaidLeave, and we can’t give up now. Don’t let Congress leave women behind.

In our new episode out today, #SigourneyWeaver gets candid with host Kevin Burke. Often thought of for the no-nonsense screen heroines she has played in films from Alien to Avatar, in this episode she opens the window to a different side of herself.

Born Susan Weaver, she was once a shy girl in #Manhattan whose parents happened to be trailblazers in television’s first golden age. Hear how she found empowerment roaming the streets of her hometown and attending an all-girls high school where she found her voice and the name she would make famous.
