The biggest red flag for me as a freelancer? ๐ป Ghosting.
Not the horror movie kindโthe client kind.
Imagine waking up at an ungodly hour because of the time difference, showing up for the interview, answering every follow-up email, explaining your entire SMM process, sharing how you'd actually help grow their business...
..only to hear absolutely nothing after.
No "we decided to move forward with someone else."
No "you're not the right fit."
Not even a simple "thank you."
What's even funnier? They were the ones who reached out first. ๐ฉ
We can handle rejection. Seriously. It's part of freelancing.
But silence after asking someone to invest their time, effort, and expertise? That one stings.
A simple update takes less than a minute, but it gives someone peace of mind and the chance to move on.
Freelancers aren't just portfolios or resumes. We're real people behind the screen, hoping for a reply.
Please normalize closing the loop. ๐ค
