1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
For the Burgers

2 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
4 slices cheddar cheese
4 lettuce leaves
1 large tomato, sliced
½ onion, sliced
Pickle slices
Burger Sauce
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 tbsp pickle relish
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently and divide into 4 equal portions. Shape into thick burger patties.
2. Heat a cast-iron skillet or grill over medium-high heat until very hot.
3. Cook the patties for 3–4 minutes per side, or until a rich brown crust forms.
4. Place one slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover the skillet briefly to melt the cheese.
5. While the burgers cook, butter the buns and toast them until golden brown.
6. Mix all the burger sauce ingredients together until smooth.
7. Spread the burger sauce on both halves of each toasted bun.
8. Layer the bottom bun with lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, and pickles.
9. Place the cheesy burger patty on top.
10. Add the top bun and serve immediately with fries, chips, or your favorite side.
💡 Tips
Use 80/20 ground beef for the juiciest burgers.
Avoid pressing the patties while cooking to keep them juicy.
Let the burgers rest for 2–3 minutes before serving for the best flavor.
Enjoy your homemade cheeseburger! 🍔
