The runway brought something we talk about all the time on Once Upon A Surgery to life: plastic surgery is about so much more than a procedure. It’s about the person, their story and the confidence that can come with transformation.

Patients of Dr. Anthony Berlet walked the runway alongside professional models and beauty titleholders, celebrating their transformations in CHIFFIQUE silk. Dr. Berlet was also honored with the Master of Transformation Award, recognizing his artistry and more than three decades in plastic surgery.

Berlet Plastic Surgery takes NYFW.

Thrilled to see In Touch Weekly feature Unveiled in Silk, a NYFW celebration that put Dr. Anthony Berlet’s patients on the runway to celebrate their transformations.

For one unforgettable evening, real patients stepped into the spotlight alongside professional models, wearing silk, sharing their confidence, and proving that transformation is something to celebrate.

As In Touch Weekly put it, these plastic surgery patients “ruled the runway.”

We couldn’t agree more.

How Dr. Berlet Rebuilt Gonçalo’s Nose After a Childhood Injury

Dr. Anthony Berlet breaks down exactly how he corrected Gonçalo’s nose after a childhood injury left him unable to breathe properly for years. He explains the surgical approach that restored function while creating a natural, balanced result.

Gonçalo was just eight years old and living in Portugal when a childhood fall changed his life. He landed on his nose, breaking it so severely that he struggled to breathe properly for the next 13 years.

After moving to the United States, Gonçalo was referred to plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Berlet by a friend whose cancer reconstruction Dr. Berlet had performed. At 21, Gonçalo finally decided to address the injury that had affected both the function and appearance of his nose for most of his life.

Dr. Berlet explains just how significant the damage was. Gonçalo’s nose had been displaced to nearly a 90-degree angle, requiring a complex rhinoplasty to straighten and reconstruct the nose while restoring his ability to breathe.

Gonçalo also underwent otoplasty to pin back his ears, completing a transformation that he says has genuinely changed his life.

Today, Gonçalo not only breathes better, he looks incredible and carries himself with a new confidence.
