Today was a DAY. 😂

4 doctor appointments + 1 lab appointment. In ONE day.

How does a person successfully manage that many appointments without losing their mind, their paperwork, or accidentally showing up at the wrong office?

I have absolutely no idea.

But somehow, I did it. 🏆

One thing this journey has taught me is to stop pretending I have all my ducks in a row.

At this point, I’m pretty sure:
🦆 one duck is missing
🦆 two have wandered into the wrong pond
🦆 one forgot why we were even here
💃 and at least one of them is actually a dancing pigeon pretending to be a duck.

But you know what?

We’re still moving forward. 😂

Some days, that counts as having your life together.

Be honest: are your ducks currently in a row, scattered across several zip codes, or has a dancing pigeon joined your flock too? 😂👇

Some days my brain 🧠 deserves its own reality show. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Between chemo brain and ADHD, someone can be giving me the most important information of my life and my brain is just over there singing, “la la la la la…” like the Muppets. 🎶

Then there are the moments when I know exactly what I want to say, I hear the right words in my head and somehow my mouth confidently announces something completely different and I literally have no idea why whoever I am talking to me is looking at me funny, it made sense in my head after all.

If you’ve ever looked at someone after speaking and thought, “Well, why don’t they understand what I meant,” welcome to the club. 😅

I laugh about it because sometimes that’s the only option. Cancer changes you in ways people can see and in a lot of ways they can’t. But if sharing these moments helps someone else feel a little less alone, then I’ll keep sharing them.

Please tell me I’m not the only one! 😂

💬 What’s the funniest thing your brain fog has ever made you do? Bonus points if it made absolutely no sense.

Not every video is meant to go viral.

Some are meant to reach the one person who just got diagnosed. The one person crying after surgery. The one person staring at their scars wondering if they’ll ever feel like themselves again.

If sharing the hard days, the hopeful days, the awkward days and the healing days helps even one person feel a little less alone, then every post is worth it.

Cancer can feel incredibly isolating. If my story can be a flashlight for someone else walking through the dark, I’ll keep sharing.

Because sometimes one person is enough. ❤️🎗️

If you’ve ever been through cancer or walked beside someone who has, what is one thing you wish people understood about the journey?
