My woodland forest themed nutty soldier is finished! I decoupaged the mushroom undershirt & presents with napkins and painted it with Waverly chalk paint from Walmart for a matte finish. Next I'll find the perfect owl to swap out with either the presents or wreath. It's been a labor of love, but he's finally done! 🐿️🍂

Before and after of a 1925 quartersawn oak dresser I recently restored! I found this thing tucked in the corner of my local Goodwill - covered in a gross black varnish and about an inch of dust. There are no words for the excitement and disbelief I felt when I stripped off that first layer of varnish and saw those stripes!!! It is the most beautiful wood grain I’ve probably ever seen. I didn’t take many progress photos, but am happy to answer any questions. She went to her new home today and I miss her already 😂
EDIT: I’ve been corrected that this is likely maple or mahogany, NOT oak. Rookie mistake! 😄
