On Zuria FM, Hon. Ben Abdullah Alhasan, MCE for Asokore Mampong, said the Assembly is cracking down on financial leakages, confirming the arrest of two officers over Assembly funds. He outlined ongoing projects including classrooms, roads, drainage works, health facilities, and several astro turf parks, urged residents to pay taxes to support development, and praised Zuria FM for its role in community education.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly, Hon. Ben Abdullah Alhasan, has reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to blocking all financial leakages and strengthening accountability in the use of public funds.
Speaking on Zuria FM today, the MCE disclosed that two officers of the Assembly have been arrested over issues relating to the handling of Assembly funds, stressing that his administration will not tolerate financial misconduct.
The MCE made these remarks during the most popular Zongo morning show, Anche Anche, which was hosted by Yussif Abdul Ganiyu Inshola.
Hon. Ben Abdullah Alhasan outlined several ongoing and planned development projects across the municipality, including the construction of 12 classroom units in various communities, health blocks, public toilet facilities, road projects, major drainage works, and the development of multiple astro turf parks being seen across communities to promote youth development and sports. He added that efforts are underway to strengthen the healthcare system to improve service delivery.
He encouraged residents to pay their taxes and levies, explaining that internally generated revenue is key to funding development projects in Asokore Mampong.
The MCE also praised Zuria FM for its role in public education and community engagement, and called on the media to continue supporting accountability and development in the municipality.
