Coming this October

My newest book, four years in the making, is available for pre-orders now. The publication date is October 6.

I think of it as Motherless Daughters all grown up, because it's about the lifelong arc of loss, and all the ways we find meaning and purpose from tragedy over time.

I can't wait to hear what you think!

In the meantime, you can read a sneak peek of the first few pages on my blog at www.hopeedelman.com. xxox

"[Lockhart’s] prose and storytelling ability are unparalleled in YA; she guides readers through her narratives like a masterful, seasoned director guides the viewer’s eye in a film. At this point, I want to read every story she decides to tell.” — BookPage

To all my friends in Boston, if you can make it, this will be a fascinating event.

Reminder! I'll be at the Harvard Science Center tomorrow - Thursday, January 30 - to talk about THE ANGEL AND THE ASSASSIN. I'm looking forward to the conversation with Carey Goldberg (host of CommonHealth, WBUR 90.9 FM, Boston’s NPR Station) and the brilliant Beth Stevens Ph.D., MacArthur Fellow and Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator, and also to taking questions and hearing from YOU! If you're in the area, I hope to see you there!
