Meet the East Art(ist)s:

Dan Perlman is a stand-up comedian and writer from New York City.

Dan created and wrote an animated series, That's My Bus!, which received a pilot order from FOX after winning 1st place at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. Dan has appeared on TruTV, MTV2, and as a cast member on MTV's Vidiots.

As a writer-filmmaker, he has had four projects featured in the New York Television Festival, most recently the award-winning comedy series, Flatbush Misdemeanors, in which he co-stars and co-writes/directs.

The list of accomplishments goes on but we have to stop here. No character limit, our fingers are just tired of typing. See Dan perform this Sunday at East Arts 2018.

Alex Getlin is a '16 Theatre grad already making her mark in NYC (and she's a native New Yorker, to boot!). Fun fact: Alex was in an episode of Shades of Blue. If you meet Alex in person, you are automatically 1 degree of separation from JLo. Think about THAT.

Meet the East Art(ist)s:

Emmy Blotnick​ is a staff writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. She has also performed standup on the show. Previously she was Head Writer/Co-Executive Producer of The President Show on Comedy Central.

Her half hour standup special will air on Comedy Central later this year.

Basically...she's going places, and one of them is on stage at East Arts 2018​ on Sunday June 3rd.

You may recognize Rosie Jo Neddy from 54 Below's A Tribute to the Dixie Chicks Concert. Besides lending her singing talent to country classics, Rosie is an accomplished choreographer and performer (her NU credits include Carousel, Into the Woods, and Cabaret).

Ziwe Fumudoh is a writer on The Rundown with Robin Thede and seasoned veteran of The Annoyance, The Onion, Reductress, and Above Average.

Maybe you even heard her recently on the political comedy podcast Lovett or Leave It. We bet you did. We suspect you're Crooked Media fans.

Meet the East Art(ist)s:

Sky Dylan-Robbins is a New York City-based filmmaker and visual journalist.

She currently makes short news docs at an experimental video unit within NBC News. Previously, she was the Senior Producer, Video at The New Yorker magazine.

She's also the founder of The Video Consortium, a creative community of the world’s leading video journalists and nonfiction filmmakers with chapters in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington DC, and Paris.

In 2018, she was chosen as one of Forbes Magazine's 30 under 30 in Media.

Meet the East Art(ist)s: Count down to East Arts 2018 with us as we spotlight some of the talented performers involved with the show.

Meet the emcee, Kate Villa!

Kate is a stand-up comedian and writer. She's currently the writers' assistant on Netflix's The Break With Michelle Wolf, and has also worked as a digital contributor and writers' assistant at Comedy Central's The President Show. Kate writes punch up jokes for Cartuna, short interstitial series' for IFC, and contributes to McSweeney's, The Belladonna, and Hellogiggles, to name just a few. She's also worked with production companies across the city and produced for the UCBComedy house digital team The Council.

You can also see her on Mysteries At The Museum. She co-hosts CONFLICTED, the comedy show that gives you the inside scoop on what (probably) happened during history’s greatest fights.
