Directions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
2. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season both sides with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
3. Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2 minutes per side, or until pink, opaque, and just cooked through. Transfer the shrimp to a plate and set aside.
5. Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30-60 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.

Directions:

2. Before draining the noodles, reserve about 1/3 cup of the cooking water. Drain the noodles and set them aside.

- 9 oz fettuccine
- 1 cup reserved pasta water

- Extra Parmesan cheese
