I am deeply encouraged by the emergence of young professionals and rising political figures who are stepping forward to participate in the reconstruction of Haiti. Their presence signals a new generation ready to confront the challenges that have weakened our institutions for far too long. Yet this moment demands vigilance: we must reject the division and corruption that have become the unfortunate trademarks of our political landscape. The country cannot afford a repetition of the same destructive patterns. It is time for every aspiring leader to lay out a clear agenda—your pillars of development, your priorities, and the reforms you intend to champion. Present them openly to the public so that citizens can engage, debate, and hold you accountable.
