Can I cut the hair of my English Budgie.
He has already quite some difficulty flying and I feel like he can't see anything so when he finally gains some height het keeps bumping into stuff. So is it possible to let his hair be cut a little bit to help him see better?

Found parakeet Hello! I found this buddie in my backyard yesterday and I’m very worried. They’re in a cage for now and we’ve attempted to search for possible owners but no luck so far. I have owned budgies before but it has been a while, what are the signs I need to look for? They seem to be okay, and they’re eating and drinking well. They slept through the night but haven’t chirped or anything. They’ve played with some things but I’m worried they’re sick or injured :( thank you for reading!!

Does anyone have a bird safe recommendation for stripping paint off of wood? I live in a very old home and unfortunately some wood has been painted over by the previous owner.

My birds live on the second floor while the paint that needs to be stripped is on the first floor. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas how to do this the safe way that won’t harm my budgies?

i have to say, i love every part of my birdie but what catches my eye the most is her eyes, the little head (which fits perfectly in the little corner inbetween my eyes and nose!) and her feeett!!! it’s so adorable and in 3rd picture, her feet looks so long and it looks so silly! 🥹💗 i also ADOREE her little chest area, it’s so cute and at one point she let it touch it (although she doesn’t let me touch it often and i respect her decision) and it was soo soft! i forgot to mention her blush! i absolutely ADOREE it!! cockatiels are genuinely one of the sweetest looking parrots ever (other parrots are adorable too but this one just— ughh 🥺🥺💗)

Perch size is ok? Greetings! Its rocky here!
Share your opinion - is this perch wide enough? Last one was too narrow, and came with the bird when he was very small fella. So I finally change it , and it takes a month to keep a perch on his view, a week to get rocky use to it, he was terribly scared for 4 days, then finally he made a step and now seems like he dont afraid anymore at all.

UPDATE: he his 4 different perches inside ( 3 of it woodmade, not a dowel), tons of toys and other stuff, but he usually uses only 2 perches - main dowel and other wide perch near his "water" place.

Do green cheeks grow new tail and wing feathers? Recently I got this amazing little guy from a pet store.

Despite the fact he had clipped wings and a messed up tail, I still wanted to get this one.

I was wondering if he's gonna grow out new wings and tail feathers?

He does not have any problems btw, he's all happy and okay, he trusts us and it's safe to say that we do have a bond, and he even shows positive signs like mimicking and desired tricks I was teaching him to do

I have experience with birds including green cheeks

Idk maybe I'm just to worried about my little guy

Last thing to add, he was kinda at the end of a molting cycle when I got him, so it seems like they clipped fresh wings, and today two of his wing feathers (long ones which I think are flight feathers) fell or were plucked

Some other information that might be useful:

He's less than a year old according to the guy in that pet store and his leg band numbers

And I got him around two and a half months ago

(Sorry for the bad pics this dude won't stop climbing on me, chewing on my ears and preening my beard)

Is everything ok??? Hey guys I just got this new parakeet and I’ve only had him for about 3 days so I understand he can still be very stressed but every now and then I find him just sitting on his food bowl for extended periods of time. Once I walk up to him he will then hop on his perch.

For the record I have not heard him cherp once and the local bird store told me he was 8 weeks old.

Should I be concerned or is this was comes with the early anxiety’s a young bird has coming into a new home
