Add the butter to a saucepan over medium-high heat. Allow to melt and slightly brown (~5 minutes). Remove from the heat and immediately pour into a large bowl. Allow it to cool slightly. In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, espresso granules (if using), and salt. Set aside. Once the brown butter has cooled, add both sugars, and whisk to combine. Then add in the egg and egg yolk, and whisk until combined and lighter in color. Add the vanilla and heavy cream. Whisk until well combined. Add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet, and gently fold until fully incorporated. Add the chocolate chips, and gently fold until evenly dispersed. The cookie dough will be quite thick, yet slightly sticky. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the fridge to chill for at least 1-2 hours (ideally 2-4 hours) or up to 24 hours. I let mine sit in the fridge overnight! Once ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Remove the cookie dough from the fridge and allow to sit at room temperature for 20-25 minutes, to make it easier to scoop. If it needs longer, let it sit longer! Use a large cookie scoop (3 tbsp) to scoop (pack the dough into the scoop with your hands) the dough out onto the baking sheets, spacing the cookies 2” apart from each other. Bake at 350F for 11-14 minutes, until the edges are set and the middle still looks soft. If the cookies aren’t spreading by minute 9, remove from the oven and lightly smack/bang the baking sheet on the counter 4-5 times to flatten them out. Then, return to the oven to continue baking for a few more minutes. Remove and if desired, use a large cup or bowl to swirl around the cookies to make them into a perfect circle. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack. Serve warm with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt and a glass of milk, if desired. Enjoy! Our Place

Generously grease a 10” cast iron skillet with butter. Set aside. Brown the butter. Add the butter to a saucepan over medium-high heat. Allow to melt and brown, while stirring continuously (~5-8 minutes). As the butter continues to cook, you’ll notice that it starts to foam up across the surface (after about 2 minutes). Stir frequently to prevent the milk solids from burning. Continue cooking, stirring with a spatula, until the milk solids begin to brown (the brown specks at the bottom of the pan) and the color starts to deepen. Once the brown butter reaches a deep golden amber color and smells nutty, remove from the heat and immediately pour into a large bowl. Set aside to cool slightly (about 10-20 minutes), enough so it doesn’t melt the sugars when added, which will ensure that the cookies don’t spread too much. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. Once the brown butter is slightly cooled, add both sugars and whisk until well combined. Then whisk in the egg and vanilla. Finally, whisk in the pumpkin puree until fully combined. Add the dry ingredients to the wet. Use a wooden spoon or spatula to mix until just combined. Then, fold in the chocolate chips/chopped chocolate until evenly dispersed. Transfer and press the batter into the prepared skillet, making sure it is in an even layer. Bake at 350F for 28-32 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the middle has puffed yet is still slightly gooey. If you like your cookie skillets more done, you can bake for an additional 2-3 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. You can press extra chocolate chips or chopped chocolate into the top of the skillet immediately after removing it from the oven to get the melty chocolate on top (I did this) Make the easy salted caramel (if using), by mixing together all of the ingredients in a medium bowl, until smooth. Serve the cookie skillet warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of salted caramel and flaky sea salt, if desired. Enjoy! Our Place

Grease and line a standard (9x5”) loaf pan with parchment paper; set aside. Start by browning the butter for the cake. Add the 1/2 cup butter to a saucepan over medium-high heat. Allow to melt and slightly brown (~5-8 minutes), while stirring continuously. Remove from the heat and immediately pour into a large bowl. Set aside to cool slightly. While the brown butter is cooling, prepare the crumb topping. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, both sugars, cinnamon, and butter. Mix with a fork or use your hands, until it’s combined, crumbly, and resembles wet sand. Set aside. Continue preparing the cake batter. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt (reserve the cinnamon for later). Set aside. Once the brown butter has slightly cooled, add the avocado oil and sugar. Whisk until well combined Add in the eggs, and whisk until fully incorporated. Then, whisk in the greek yogurt and vanilla until well combined. Add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet. Use a wooden spoon or spatula to mix until just combined and there are no large clumps of flour, being careful not to over-mix. Divide the batter in evenly in half between two bowl. Add the cinnamon to one of the bowls, and fold until just combined to create the cinnamon batter. Now you should have one bowl of regular batter and one bowl of cinnamon batter. Assemble. Using a large (3 tbsp) cookie scoop, scoop the regular batter into the bottom of the pan. Cover about half of the bottom of the pan, evenly spacing the regular batter so there are gaps for the cinnamon batter to sit in between. Then place scoops of the cinnamon batter in between the regular batter. For the next layers, repeat these steps but alternate so that cinnamon batter is stacked on top of regular batter, and vice versa. Once all of the batters are in the pan, use a knife to gently swirl. Then, sprinkle the cinnamon crumb topping all over the top. Bake at 350F for 60-70 minutes, until golden and a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Check the loaf at ~50 minutes; if the top is getting too brown, tent the top with foil. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for at least 10-15 minutes. Then remove and transfer to a serving plate or wire cooling rack. While cooling, prepare the cream cheese glaze. In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth and free of clumps. Once ready to serve, warm the glaze in the microwave for 20 seconds. Drizzle all over the top of the loaf. Slice and serve warm with butter and flaky sea salt, if desired. Enjoy! Our Place

MAPLE BLUEBERRY SOURDOUGH DONUT HOLES Like little clouds bursting with blueberries 🫐 Recipe below OR go to my website through the link in my bio 🤎 Details (makes 16): Ingredients: - 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour ’s Red Mill - 1 1/2 tsp baking powder - 1/4 tsp baking soda - Pinch of salt - Optional: 2 tbsp granulated sugar - 3/4 cup greek yogurt (it HAS to be greek yogurt for these measurements) - 1/2 cup sourdough discard or unfed starter (can sub with 1/4 cup greek yogurt) - 1/2 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen - 1/4 cup butter, melted, for brushing Maple Glaze: - 1 cup powdered sugar - 3 tbsp maple syrup - 1-2 tbsp milk of choice - 1 tsp vanilla extract *See recipe on my website for oven instructions* Instructions: Preheat air fryer to 350F. In a large bowl, add all of the ingredients for the donut hole dough, except the blueberries and melted butter. Mix until well combined. The dough is going to be a little sticky, but just trust the process! Lay the dough on a generously floured surface. Use your hands to slightly push down to make a well for the blueberries. Add the blueberries into the middle of the dough and fold the edges in to enclose the blueberries. Sprinkle some more flour on top of the dough. Use your hands to knead a couple of times, until the blueberries are evenly dispersed. If the dough still seems too sticky, add 1 more tbsp of flour at a time, and continue to knead until it comes together more! Be careful not to over knead, as that will burst the blueberries. Divide the dough into 16 pieces. Use your hands and fingers to pinch and form the pieces into balls. If your hands/fingers are sticking, you can sprinkle the pieces of dough with flour and also flour your hands, they don’t have to be ‘perfect’ balls! Place a piece of parchment paper in the basket of your air fryer. Working in batches if needed, transfer the balls to the air fryer. Brush the tops with melted butter. Air fry at 350F for 5 minutes, gently flip and air fry for another 5-6 minutes, or until golden brown. While the donut holes are baking, whisk together the ingredients for the maple glaze in a small bowl. Remove from donuts from the air fryer, and immediately dip into the maple glaze. Serve warm. Enjoy!

BROWN BUTTER SOURDOUGH CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES Simply, no notes 🤌 Recipe below OR go to my website through the link in my bio 🤎 Details (makes 20-25 cookies): Ingredients: - 1 cup (226g) salted butter - 1 cup (220g) brown sugar - 1 cup (210g) granulated sugar - 1 egg + 2 egg yolks, at room temperature - 1 cup (250g) sourdough discard, at room temperature - 2 tbsp (30g) heavy cream, at room temperature (sub: half & half or milk of choice) - 1 tbsp (13g) vanilla extract - 2 1/2 cups (375g) all-purpose flour ’s Red Mill - 1 tsp (5g) baking powder - 1 tsp (6g) baking soda - 1 tsp (5g) salt - 1 1/2 cups (300g) chocolate chips of choice USA Toll House - Flaky sea salt, for topping Instructions: Start by browning the butter. Add the butter to a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Allow to melt and slightly brown (~5 minutes). Remove from the heat and immediately pour into a large bowl. Allow to cool slightly (just enough so it doesn’t cook the eggs when added). While the brown is cooling, in a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. Once the brown butter has cooled, add both sugars to the bowl. Whisk well until combined. Then add in the egg and egg yolks. Whisk for 2-3 minutes, until well combined and lighter in color. Add in the sourdough discard, heavy cream, and vanilla. Whisk until well combined and the mixture is smooth. Add the dry ingredients to the wet, and gently fold until just incorporated (make sure not to over-mix). Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly dispersed. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the fridge to chill for at least 2-4 hours or up to 24 hours. I like to let mine sit in the fridge overnight! Because of the sourdough discard, the longer you leave the dough in the fridge, the stronger the resulted flavor. Once ready to bake, preheat the oven to 375F. Line a couple of baking sheets with parchment paper. Remove the dough from the fridge and let sit at room temperature to soften for 20-25 minutes, to make it easier to scoop. If it needs, let it sit longer! Use a large cookie scoop (3 tbsp) to scoop (pack the dough into the scoop with your hands) the dough out onto the baking sheets, spacing the cookies 2” apart from each other. Bake at 375F for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden but the middle still looks soft and gooey. Enjoy! Our Place
