Continuing to add more art to support the #BlackLivesMatter movement on Staten Island Projectivity teamed up with artist Damien Mitchell to honor Rep. #JohnLewis a civil rights leader who spent over 6 decades fighting for the equal rights of blacks and other minorities.

"Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.” — John Lewis

The mural is located at Richmond Hood Company #ArtistAlleySI Video coming soon.

‘Our live begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter’ - MLK, in a beautiful stencil by @NickCKirk - this quote is paraphrased from a sermon MLK gave in Selma, Alabama, on 8 March 1965, the day after “Bloody Sunday,” on which civil rights protesters were attacked and beaten by police on the Edmund Pettus Bridge.
