๐จ 50 Cent just dropped a major bombshell about POWER and fans are stunned! ๐ณ
According to 50 Cent, behind-the-scenes drama changed the course of the hit series, and he believes it ruined what could have been even bigger.
In a recent interview with GQ, 50 Cent opened up about his role as Kanan and explained why his character was killed off in Season 3.
He said things became tense when many fans started calling POWER "the 50 Cent show" instead of giving creator Courtney Kemp credit as the show's writer.
50 also revealed there was friction between Courtney Kemp and Omari Hardwick, who played Ghost. According to him, Omari saw himself as the show's lead, while Courtney wanted it to remain clear that the series was her creation.
50 claims Courtney originally planned to kill off Ghost as early as Season 3. He says he pushed back against the idea, but since she still wanted a major character to die, he offered up Kanan instead because he was busy with his music and business ventures outside the show.
Looking back, 50 Cent says Ghost should never have been killed off, a view shared by many longtime POWER fans.
