Have you ever experienced that moment when your heart drops?
Yesterday, I was walking home when I saw her sitting alone on the porch.
She looked so tired, so lonely. I paused, not sure if I should approach her.
Then she looked up at me, her eyes filled with hope and sadness.
I remembered the little things she used to do—chasing birds, cuddling on lazy Sunday mornings.
But now she looked different, fragile, like she was holding onto a story that only she knew.
I knelt down slowly, whispering her name.
She limped a bit, her fur dusty and matted. I knew she had been lost for days.
My heart broke seeing her like that. I couldn’t just walk away.
So I wrapped her in a blanket, and now she’s safe with me.
We all have moments that remind us what truly matters.
Today I ask, is there someone you’ve been meaning to check on?
Because sometimes, finding someone we love can change everything.
