🌅Good morning! As the sun rises to grace this new day, let us rise with it—renewed in spirit, anchored in hope, and ready to embrace peace in every heartbeat.

In the quiet of these early hours, we invite you to settle into the rhythm of your breath. May we be mindful of our thoughts, gentle with our words, and compassionate in our actions. Let us treat our own hearts with tender care, extending that same warmth to everyone we encounter today.

Remember, the peace we cultivate within ourselves is the greatest gift we can offer the world. It ripples outward, touching lives and healing hearts far beyond what we can see.

Today is going to be our peaceful day.
May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏✨

After 112 days, Venerable Bhikkhu Pannakara finally came home to Huong Dao Temple.

And the first ones to greet him were not people.

Muditā 🐕 and Karuṇā 🐕 - two stray dogs the temple once took in from the streets - were waiting. They did not know where he had been. They did not understand what the Walk for Peace was. They only knew one thing - he was gone for a very long time. And now he was back.

The moment he walked through the door, they could not contain themselves. Jumping, crying, pressing against him, so overwhelmed with joy they accidentally scratched his face. He did not flinch. He just smiled.

Their names say everything. Muditā means sympathetic joy. Karuṇā means compassion. Two dogs who once had nothing - no home, no family, no name - now live in a place built on exactly those qualities.

Sometimes the purest welcome comes from those who cannot speak. They do not care about miles walked or ceremonies attended. They only know presence. And when someone they love returns, their whole body becomes the greeting.

Welcome home, Venerable Bhikkhu Pannakara. To the temple. To the community. And to the two hearts who waited the longest.

🌺 Walk for Peace Saṅgha Receives Dental Care in Arlington, TX
It would be a great omission not to mention one of the core members who has been quietly and steadfastly supporting Venerable Paññākāra Tuệ Nhân and the Sangha - Dr. Nikki Lam.

With a spirit of service and compassion in harmony with the Walk for Peace, she has undertaken many vital responsibilities.

Dr. Nikki Lam contributed and coordinated essential healthcare services for the 20 Venerable Bhikkhus, including physicians, therapists, foot care specialist, and dental professionals, especially since the Sangha arrived in Morrow (Atlanta, Georgia) in December.

She also reached out to a veterinary doctor to assist with Aloka’s healthcare when he needed leg surgery in South Carolina, and has continued to follow up on his condition with care and dedication ever since.

In addition, she arranged the printing of all the certificates for the Venerable monks and the volunteer members of the Walk for Peace journey for the Welcome Home day, as well as handling the trademark matters for Walk for Peace.

She also thoughtfully sponsored the Walk for Peace tumblers for the Venerable monks and for anyone who wished to receive one by making a donation.

Today, the Walk for Peace Sangha received dental check-ups, cleanings, and necessary treatments at her family's Dental in Arlington, Texas, in an atmosphere filled with warmth, care, and wholehearted dedication.

Among the volunteers was Dr. Amanda (Bích Vân) Phan — a familiar face who graciously served as MC at various events during the 110-day Walk for Peace journey.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Nikki Lam, Dr. Long, and Dr. Amanda Phan and the entire team for their wholesome, compassionate, and selfless service.

In the early days of the journey, Dr. Nikki Lam and the core team members did not hesitate to travel long distances to closely accompany and care for the Sangha.

With her medical background, she paid constant attention to the monks’ health, and humbly took on even the smallest tasks, at a time when the Sangha had not yet received the support of a volunteer medical team as they later did.

Though the early days were demanding, they were also filled with meaningful and beautiful memories. Each stage of the journey carried its own unique beauty and unforgettable moments.

May the merits of these wholesome deeds bring you and your team lasting health, happiness, and abundant blessings.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏✨

️🙏 In the early days of this journey, our steps were welcomed mostly by the silence of the road. Very few people knew of the mission then. Often, the only sound we heard was the rush of cars passing by as we walked—drivers moving quickly toward their destinations, unaware of the prayers being offered with every mile. The roadsides were quiet, offering only a few curious glances from afar. Yet, we continued steadily, step by step, with a deep and quiet determination.

Whether there were crowds to greet us or not, whether anyone noticed our presence or passed us by, the purpose remained unchanged: to plant the seeds of peace and mindfulness in every heart we encountered, even if it was just one person at a time.

We did not walk for recognition or applause. We walked because peace is meant to be shared, and because every single step—witnessed or unwitnessed—carries its own sacred meaning. In those early, solitary miles, we learned a beautiful truth: Peace does not need an audience. It simply needs to be lived, practiced, and offered.

From those quiet beginnings on empty roads where only the sound of passing traffic accompanied us, to the moment we stood before thousands at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC, the journey taught us that every step matters—especially the ones no one sees.

May this be a reminder for your own life: even when no one is watching, even when the path feels lonely, or when it seems like your efforts go unnoticed—keep walking. Keep choosing peace. Your steps matter more than you know.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏✨
