Filming took place at West Horsley Place, the real-life location used as Button House in the series, along with locations across South East England.

Bookish is returning for a second season, bringing Gabriel Book and his wonderfully eccentric world of books, mysteries, and murder back to U&Alibi in the UK this August.

Created by Mark Gatiss, the detective drama is set in late-1940s London and follows Gabriel Book, an antiquarian bookseller whose specialist shop becomes an unlikely setting for solving crimes. The series draws inspiration from the atmosphere of Cecil Court, the famous London street long associated with booksellers, collectors, and literary treasures.

What makes Bookish particularly distinctive is that Gabriel Book isn't adapted from an existing literary detective. He is an original character created for television, giving the series plenty of room to develop its own mysterious mythology and old-fashioned detective style.

Wondering where things stand with the next season of Strike? The wait is finally coming to an end.

The next TV adaptation will be The Running Grave, based on the seventh novel in Robert Galbraith’s bestselling Cormoran Strike detective series. Tom Burke returns as private investigator Cormoran Strike, with Holliday Grainger back as Robin Ellacott.

The new five-part story is expected to air in late 2026 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, bringing another complex investigation to the screen.

This time, Robin goes undercover inside the secretive Universal Humanitarian Church, an organization whose seemingly charitable exterior hides disturbing secrets. As she becomes increasingly immersed in the group, Strike works from the outside to uncover the truth and keep her safe.

With the partnership between Strike and Robin facing another dangerous test, The Running Grave promises suspense, deception, and one of their most gripping investigations yet.
