🚨In 2018, Paul Anthony Menchaca, a 31-year-old man from Gilbert, Arizona, was arrested after police discovered he had been faking having Down syndrome.
He posed online as a woman named "Amy" and hired multiple female caregivers to care for her "adult son" with Down syndrome.
The caregivers were paid to bathe him, change his diapers, and assist with personal hygiene.
Caregivers later realized something was wrong when he stopped paying and they discovered he did not actually have the condition. Menchaca was charged with fraud and sexual abuse.
