💼 Warren Buffett Steps Down as Berkshire Hathaway Chairman
Warren Buffett has stepped down as chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, becoming chairman emeritus effective immediately. He will remain on the company’s board and continue to provide his perspective and guidance.
The leadership transition follows Buffett’s earlier handover of the CEO role to Greg Abel. Berkshire’s board has now elected Howard G. Buffett as chairman, while Abel continues as CEO.
Buffett, who has led Berkshire since 1965, leaves the chairmanship after more than six decades at the company. The move marks another major step in Berkshire Hathaway’s long-planned leadership transition.
