Last week I was officially sworn in as a Union Costume Designer for TV/Film/Theater.

I’m very grateful to be apart of an estimated less than 2% of Black Designers to receive this acceptance of which less than 22% are women.

It’s such an amazing moment. All of my hardwork finally paid off. And it’s only upwards & beyond from here for both me and my efforts to positively support & impact creative community ✨

God is Good and God is DELIBERATE (even when it seems it isn’t possibly so). This I’ve come to know for sure…

PS: This is a repost (see photos) so I want to acknowledge the individuals who shared their support & well wishes thus far - many of whom have showed support in some way, shape, or form throughout my personal journey. Truly grateful for it all - big and small.

My mom especially who is the reason I was exposed to fashion design as a child. And some of yall have prayed with me, encouraged me privately, and a very small but special few hired me, platformed me, or were instrumental in helping to create financial opportunities in some way - yall know who you are ❤️✨

recent client, whose wedding dress ripped in the center back right before Father/Daughter dance. We provided quick rigg/temp alteration & in less than 15m she was back out to celebrate her special day in a TOTALLY NEW DESIGN. We transformed a regular train style into a Godet Train Style… Transformed a near tragedy into Triumph.

If work well together, would lead to PAID fashion/costume design assistant gigs in TV/FILM/THEATER, Commercial Photoshoots, & LIVE Shows.

College students, Stay at Home Moms, & other professionals returning to work are ok. Willing to train on necessary fashion skills for right motivated candidate.
