Dancehall artiste Spragga Benz has bagged a lead role in a new movie. Itโs entitled Second Chance set to premiere locally on July 21 .
The artiste and actor plays the lead role of David King, a qualified Rastafarian seeking a job in corporate America who is faced with discrimination, which drives him into the company of the wrong crowd.
While on the brink of destruction, he becomes aware of his mistakes, turns a new page, and gets a second chance in life.
Second Chance was filmed in Florida, USA.
Producer of the film, Cleon James says the upcoming movie will be his sixth feature film, and he explained that the story is about โthe struggles people go through to gain the opportunities they want.โ
Meantime, Spragga Benz is no stranger to the acting world as heโs known for his role in the popular movie Shottas, released in 2002.

Dancehall deejay pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct and resisting arrest when he appeared before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court today.
He is set to return to court on September 8.
Christopher Townsend, the attorney-at-law representing the embattled entertainer said his team is relying on camera footage of the incident to prove his innocence.
โWhat we asked for was to see footage from the area that demonstrates that the incident occurred. The policeโs reports is conflicting the version that my client told. We were told that we will be supplied with the footage, so thatโs what weโre awaiting,โ Townsend told DancehallMag.
The 21-year-old artist, whose real name is Kevaun Douglas, was charged on May 24 for allegedly behaving disorderly during an argument with security personnel at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.
He was attempting to board a flight to Trinidad, to headline the Revival Return Of Dancehall event on May 28.

Earlier this week, and told a New York court that they were unable to hash out a settlement in a lawsuit filed against the label over copyright infringement and breach of contract, among other things.
The lawsuit brings to the fore the informal and sometimes non-existent contracts between artists and producers that governed much of the Dancehall music that was released during the 90s and early 2000s.
It was originally filed in November 2020, and the dispute surrounds Mr. Vegasโ hit songs Heads High (1997) and its Kill โEm Wid it Re-mix (1998), Sucky Ducky (1998), Hot Wuk (2006), and Gallis (2009). It also involves four songs from โs debut album Stage One (2000), namely Haffi Get De Gal Ya (Hot Gal Today), Tiger Bone, and the skit Nicky, all of which featured Mr. Vegas; and Check It Deeply, which was produced by Mr. Vegas.
