And to think it all started with a USB rock band microphone and the free recording software “audacity”. In 2009, I acquired an MXL xlr style mic from a friends father who had passed away. I quickly realized the xlr connection couldn’t just be plugged into my laptop so I started researching and found out how and why condenser mics need 48 volt (phantom power). This snowballed into a deep passion and troubleshooting mindset of continuing to better the quality. Here we are all these years later! Still growing, still learning, still loving every bit of what we do here at Occupy. Here’s to always learning!!!
