During our In Service Training in December, Sheriff Elliott presented Deputy Brett Adamski with his Advanced Police Certificate issued by DPSST (Department of Public Safety Standards and Training).

Dep. Adamski earned this level of certification in recognition of his continuing education, training hours, and years of service. For the Advanced Certification, the highest level of discipline certification available, Adamski had to complete 120 hours of law enforcement specific training in Communications, Advanced Technical, Leadership, and Risk Management, along with having 7 years of experience in a certified position. Adamski, who joined the agency in December 2022 after serving with Tigard PD, earned his Basic Certification in 2018 and Intermediate in 2020.

Please join us in congratulating Dep. Adamski!

Working with Sheridan Oregon Volunteer Firefighters Association we were able to receive grant awards from Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians and First Federal Savings & Loan we were able to purchase 10 new pagers for our volunteers.
This in conjunction with our emergency alerting phone app allows our volunteers to receive timely notifications and dispatch information on emergency and public service calls.

Thank you for the assistance in this valuable purchase! Now each and every one of our volunteers has a functioning pager!

If you enjoy recreational activities, you need to read the bill and submit testimony on your position.

โ€ข Since 2014, Oregon court rulings have invalidated liability waivers, driving insurance losses, skyrocketing premiums, and higher costs for consumers.
โ€ข Lack of waiver efficacy has resulted in fewer affordable, accessible recreation opportunities for Oregon families and visitors.
โ€ข ORCA is common-sense reform that supports well-managed recreation providers and promotes personal responsibility.
โ€ข ORCA aligns Oregon with the rest of the Western US.
โ€ข ORCA does NOT provide blanket immunity or remove constitutional rights.
โ€ข Recreation is vital to Oregonโ€™s economy, culture, and quality of life.
โ€ข ORCA has bipartisan support with 18 legislative co-sponsors from across the state.
โ€ข Without action, Oregon faces higher costs, reduced offerings, and lost recreation access.
โ€ข Rural communities, jobs, and families dependent on tourism are at risk.

โœจ And the votes are in! โœจ

For our first-ever downtown window decorating contest, you all seriously delivered. The creativity, effort, and holiday spirit were incredibleโ€”and the community showed up to vote (hence why we're announcing this in February โ€” CHAOS ๐Ÿ˜…)

After a little post-holiday catch-up, weโ€™re excited to announce the top three vote-getters. Congratulations to...

1. Bronco Kelly's (The new kids on the block!)
2. Storr's (BBQ and beautiful windows are a match made in heaven)
3. Lineage (Of course one of our incredible boutiques made the top three)

Drop a tag, share the love, and tell usโ€”who had your favorite window? ๐Ÿ‘‡
