Baked turkey wings
Recipe
3–4 turkey wings (split at joints if whole)
1 onion, sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced (optional)
2–3 cups chicken broth (enough to cover the bottom of the pan halfway)
3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
1 tbsp poultry seasoning
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
1 tbsp cream of chicken or mushroom soup (optional for gravy-style finish)
---
Instructions
1. Clean & Prep
Rinse and pat turkey wings dry.
Lightly coat with olive oil or melted butter.
2. Season
Mix all dry seasonings together, then rub generously all over the turkey wings.
(Use every bit—this is where the flavor is!)
3. Layer the Pan
Add sliced onions and peppers to the bottom of a baking dish.
Place turkey wings on top.
Pour chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce around the wings (not directly on top so seasoning stays on).
4. Bake Covered (Fall-Apart Tender)
Cover tightly with foil.
Bake at 350°F for 1 hour 30 minutes.
Optional: Gravy-Style Finish
Mix 1–2 tbsp of cream of chicken/mushroom soup into the broth in the pan. Stir gently.
5. Bake Uncovered
Remove foil.
Bake 30–45 minutes uncovered until browned and the skin is slightly crispy.
