Historical Society to offer trolley tours of early American sites

HAMPTON — The Hampton Historical Society will host trolley tours on June 4, highlighting historic sites tied to the town’s earliest years and the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The tour will visit locations such as Founders Park, the home of General Jonathan Moulton, and Pine Grove Cemetery, one of New Hampshire’s oldest burial grounds, which the town fenced in 1652.
Along the route, guides will discuss Hampton’s early industries, including salt marsh haying, fishing, inn‑keeping and even piano making.

Two 45‑minute tours will depart at 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., with boarding beginning at 3:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Seats may be reserved by emailing the Historical Society at [email protected]. Tickets cost $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers.
