Here is another presentation case recently completed and just delivered to it's new home, this is one of our "Homage" models with some personalized feature requests. "The Homage" is a popular case design that draws a lot of inspiration from the vintage S&W factory case offerings of days gone by. It's constructed of mahogany wood, like the originals, and lined in a blue velour fabric that is very similar in color to the flocking powders used in the originals. Although very strongly inspired by the original cases of the 70's and 80's, these offer a little better construction and design, IMO, wider wood stock used in their construction, sturdy American made brass locking catches with keys and the interior is lined in a soft fabric, so much better on your firearm's finish than the flocking powders over top adhesive and plastic and of course it's very flexible, these can be made for any make or model.
This particular one features some laser engraving on top, it has been fitted to a 6" Model 586 (or 686), oriented with the muzzle pointing to the right and it features a mahogany wood cartridge block for 6 rounds of 38/357.

Here is another recently completed project, this one was a beast (about 2 ft long, a foot wide and weighs 10 pounds). It took a while to get this one done, it's big for sure and it takes up a lot of space on the bench, but it seemed to have one unlucky issue after another during it's build, but the end result should make for a dandy home for 2 big 44mag wheelguns. This presentation case is constructed from walnut, it features some laser engraving on the top, the interior is lined in blue velour and it has been fitted for a pair of 8-3/8" Model 29 Smith & Wesson Revolvers oriented in a cascading design. There is also spots to store 4 Speedloaders and I've included a laser engraved thin walnut wood plaque which I feel might help add more balance to the aesthetic, give it some of that Feng Shui action. The pictures didn't turn out quite as sharp as they should've, but that's my poor quality camera phone's normal mode of operation, it's hit or miss. This one is on it's way to Kentucky.

Available now - Customizable Glass top Presentation cases with quick turnaround - I have 2 of these left (possibly 3). Please read. Right now these cases are empty vessels and they are ready and waiting to be fitted to your favorite pistol or revolver or other non firearm related gift items (keepsakes, books, tools, glassware jewelry, gifts of all types etc).
These cases are new old stock, they are remnants of a project I did for an academy alumni group graduate gift presentation promotion, they are MDF construction with a very attractive rich Ebonywood exterior veneer, a see through glass top for that "look but don't touch" mode of display and they feature golden hardware with mortised lock and tasseled key.
These are lovely and well made and I can offer them at a good price, and since the exterior is already completed, you could receive a finished and personalized custom fitted presentation case with a fairly quick turnaround time. You can have a good deal of input on it's design - these cases can be fitted to your particular treasured pistol or revolver (or other items) and lined with fabric in your choice of color. It can also just be a decoratively fabric lined open concept for keepsakes and trinkets. There is quite a bit that can be done to personalize one of these cases for your particular needs.
It could be a nice way to show off your cherished pistol or revolver to your friends, family or customers or could make a great gift presentation vessel.

There are a few recently completed projects packaged up and ready to go out and on the journey toward their new homes. This one required some pictures, so I thought I'd share. This presentation case is part of a continuing series of cases that I have made for this gentleman which highlight his military handgun collection from WWI and WWII (see photos in comments for other examples). All of his cases are constructed with a mindful nod to utility and rustic charm, all are constructed of mahogany wood with antiqued finish hardware and design oriented in an "English" Fitted style - offering partitioned areas for the gun(s) and other accessories rather than individual form fitted recesses.
The interior is lined in green wool felt for that ultimate utility appearance, this one offers a partitioned area for his C**t Model 1917, with additional partitioned areas...
** A partitioned space featuring a removable panel for storage and display of 4 loaded moon clips.
** A partitioned space for a removable mahogany cartridge block for 6 rounds of 45acp
** 2 additional partitions offering additional storage capability with removable mahogany lids/tops featuring an antiqued finish pull k**b
There are various shim/spacer pieces for a more customized/personalized fitment - including a couple of barrel props each one offering a different height and depth adjustment option.
This one will soon be on it's way to California to join the others in the series, this gentlemen usually shares a picture or 2 of his gun(s) in these cases and hopefully this one will be no exception. In the meantime my old C**t is doing it's best as a stand-in model for picture taking purposes.
I am always appreciative of those that take the time to share their photos with me, I know it involves time and effort. In this case especially, I won't name drop here, unless this gentleman wants to chime in himself, but he is a well known musician that is on a very brief hiatus in the midst of a world tour. Lets just say that if you listen to classic rock radio, there is a very likely chance that you would hear at least one of the songs from the band that he is in.

Haven't been sharing much lately, but quite a few presentation cases and other projects have been heading out on the way to their new homes, thought I'd share a recent project or 2. Here we have a case featuring Walnut wood construction, it's Lined in burgundy velvet and it's been fitted for a 8-3/8" S&W Model 29. Simple, yet elegant. Nothing too ornate or over the top, though there is an engraved plaque for placement in the unused "real estate" in the lower left under the barrel (not pictured). It's somewhat of a departure from the usual Mahogany/Blue "Homage" case, which is the more common request when it comes to Smith & Wesson N Frames. This one sets itself apart with it's rich dark walnut/burgundy combo. Currently on it's on the way overseas to it's new home.

Here we have another just completed presentation case project. This gentleman requested photos and was hopeful that his project could find it's way to being featured and shared. I am happy to oblige.
Constructed of lovely walnut wood with an interior lined in red velvet, it has been fitted for a 5-1/2" C**t Single Action Army. It features a walnut cartridge block for 6 rounds of 45 C**t goodness and it's been laser engraved with a Rampant C**t and "Peacemaker", a similar engraving is prominent on the exterior top. This one will soon be headed on the way to South Louisiana, not too far from one of my old stomping grounds.
This gentleman was very much involved in the design details for this case to display his SAA "Peacemaker"- using pictures that were shared here he was able to draw inspiration from some features in those examples to create something that he (we) felt would show off his sixgun with all due reverence.
It was a pleasure making what he envisioned become a reality, especially since it is going to someone who has served his Parish in the Sheriff's Office for portions of 6 decades, what a tremendous legacy, a lifetime of service and commitment to his beloved community.

I took a week or so detox from social media, hope all were well. I thought I'd share a couple recently completed projects.
First up is this presentation case that has a nice retro vibe, an ode to the C**t OEM Oak presentation cases for commemorative pistols and revolvers from the late 70's through the mid 80's (Like the John Wayne & 150th Anniversary SAA's etc.)
Constructed from good old American Red Oak, harvested from right here in Western NC in 2017. The interior is lined in red velvet and it is fitted for a C**t Ace Pistol from the Early 1930's, a recess for a spare magazine and another recess for a box of .22 LR ammo completes the display. Nothing over-the-top, just simple, traditional yet elegant style to show off a cherished heirloom to friends and family.

One interesting side note, I usually do have a hinge gap concealing fabric "flap" "connector" for this style case, but it was not included on this one and frankly in my opinion it is not needed either for function or for aesthetics when using exterior hinges, Why hide good wood? - now to obscure a mortised hinge (or hinges) then yes that flap is a must have. Again this is in my opinion, either way - "flap" or "no flap" I am here to oblige with whatever the request is. It's "your" case and you deserve to have it "your" way.

That Ace must be a really neat addition to this gentleman's collection, not to be confused with the "Service Ace" or an add-on Conversion System for a Model 1911. The C**t Ace is unique little popper all it's own.

Needed to take some photos of a few recently completed presentation case projects before shipping them out, it's been a minute since I've posted anything, so I thought I'd share. First up is this Presentation Case constructed of birdseye maple. A stone-cold lovely wood. The interior is lined in red velvet and it has been fitted for the iconic Model 1911 Government Model. A C**t MKIV Series 70 outfitted with Elk Antler "stag" grips is doing it's best as a stand-in model for picture taking purposes. Nothing over the top here, just a simple yet elegant means with which to display this family's heirloom. This one is in route to Nevada.

Here we have another recently completed presentation case project. Constructed of lovely walnut wood, the interior is lined in burgundy velvet and it has been fitted to a pair of 4" C**t Diamondback revolvers. This one was put in a shipping box bound for it's new home in Florida this week.

The case features a magnetic closure with a bit of a protruding border recess which adds to the affirmative seal (has minimal visible hardware - that kind of adds to that sleek and seamless appearance), However - if you wanted a more affirmative closure with additional security I can add a quality sturdy nickel finished locking catch upon request. It's a modern and sleek design but still provides that "Old World" luxury vibe. If interested, shoot me a message, there is only one and it is pictured below so first come first served.

Here we have another recently completed presentation case project. This one was completed a couple of days ago, it's constructed of lovely walnut wood, it features nickel/silver hardware, the interior is lined in red velvet and it's fitted for a 4-3/4" C**t Single Action Army Revolver. A Rampant C**t laser engraving on top completes the display. This SAA case is headed to it's new home, staying right here in NC, about 100 miles to the east.

Here we have another recently completed presentation case project, and this one is also part of a continuing series for a gentleman in Washington state. See the comments for a couple of the others in the series with matching features. It's constructed of nicely figured walnut wood, by request the case is perfectly rectangular - it has no routered or beveled edges. Gold finished mortised lock with blue tasseled key. The interior is lined in a rich plush blue velour and it has been fitted to a Smith & Wesson Triple Lock revolver. It features the interior "Look but don't touch" glass panel, which is removable so that it can be used with or without the glass panel when put out on display. It has a gold plated S&W medallion/plaque that has been fitted and epoxied into the inner top/lid. That medallion started life as a collectible belt buckle, the attaching hardware was removed and the buckle grounded flat so that it could be installed, I believe it adds a nice bit of "bling", and it matches nicely with the others in the series.
