Two blends from the same line created two noticeably different experiences.
The Eclat Noir Boss Lady Maduro delivered rich to***co, coffee, black pepper and light cocoa. It was smooth, approachable and extremely consistent.
The Boss Lady Habano brought more sweetness and complexity, with notes resembling zucchini bread, baking spice, citrus and crème brûlée.
Both blends had strong construction and an unusual ability to correct uneven burns without a touch-up.
Final crew averages:
Maduro: 3.95
Habano: 4.31
The Habano earned two Leaf Cutter Approved ratings.
