The bright lights of the big city weren't what this young family wanted when they envisioned what life would look like, and where they would raise their children. In their hearts, they always
imagined something different, dreaming big. but dreaming of a small town, with a safe and neighborly community, this is what they truly wanted for their family! Deciding to take a leap of faith, and begin cultivating the life they dreamed of, Cullen and Janette Briere, along with their adventurous two-year-old son and another baby boy due this month, have recently exchanged the hustle and bustle of Marietta for the cozy charm of the quaint historic town offered here in Newnan.
Both well-educated, Cullen holds a master's degree in Business Analytics and Business Administration, while Janette earned hers in Higher Education. Cullen's impressive career at Chick-fil-A, where he develops software for corporate staff, reflects his dedication and expertise in technology and consumer manufacturing.
Meanwhile, Janette has embraced her role as a full-time mom and homemaker, finding joy in nurturing their family while developing her culinary skills and managing the household. Her passion for reading, particularly in the genres of historical fiction and parenting, keeps her intellectually engaged and inspired.
Though neither Cullen nor Janette is actively involved in sports, their love for outdoor activities is palpable. They are enthusiastic about starting a homestead on the west side of Newnan, a dream that reflects their desire to raise their children in a nurturing environment that emphasizes self-sufficiency and connection to nature. Their toddler, who brings boundless energy and joy to their lives, keeps them busy in delightful ways, from library visits to local parks.
Since moving to Newnan last October, the Briere family has embraced the community with open arms. Currently residing in Stillwood Farms while building their forever home, they appreciate the close-knit feel of their new neighborhood. Cullen has begun to engage with the community through the Coweta County GOP and participates in local events like the monthly Psalm Sings at the historic courthouse in downtown Newnan. Their experiences thus far have been overwhelmingly positive, with neighbors extending heartfelt support for their endeavors, particularly in relation to their family's budding new business, Bright Haven Cleaning.
Bright Haven, which the duo launched during their temporary stay in Villa Rica, is a testament to the Briere family's work ethic and values. Inspired by Cullen's upbringing, where he learned the importance of responsibility and cleanliness, Together they have built a business that prioritizes integrity and care and a company you can always count on for reliability, and to leave your home sparkling clean! The influence of Chick-fil-A's relational culture resonates in his approach, fostering trust and excellence in every client interaction. Janette shares this passion for cleanliness, making their partnership in the business a natural extension of their shared values.
Looking ahead, the Briere family envisions a future deeply rooted in Newnan.
Over the next five years, they aspire to cultivate a thriving homestead while providing their children with a classical education that encourages curiosity and an entrepreneurial mindset. They hope this also enables them to contribute positively to their community, making Newnan an even better place to live, work, and raise their family. It takes a village!
Cullen and Janette’s affiliation with Trinity Reformed Church has further solidified their ties to the community. After discovering the church through Janette's reconnection with a family friend, they found a welcoming environment that emphasizes traditional liturgy and close-knit fellowship. Monthly events and shared meals foster a sense of belonging that enriches their lives, growing their faith in Christ stronger with every message, and also through fellowship time with other members of the church.
As the Brieres prepare to welcome their second son, they reflect on the blessings that have come their way since relocating. Their commitment to faith, family, and community remains steadfast, and they encourage newcomers to Newnan to get involved with local churches to build connections and friendships. "This has been key to us feeling really part of something here in Newnan, from the very first time we visited, it's always been open arm welcome, from the entire congregation!" Says Janette.
In a world that often feels fast-paced and disconnected, the Briere family stands as a beacon of hope and inspiration; their values and love for their family have always brought them closer together over the years always prioritizing time with each other and their son over anything else! With love, strong faith and big dreams there is no end to what this young, vibrant couple can create and as they continue to immerse themselves within different aspects of their newfound community!
The Brieres truly exemplify the beauty of small-town living intertwined with big dreams; plans of a homestead, Janette covering the home front and daily operations, while Cullen works to provide financially they forge a great partnership creating a way to bring to life their goal of homesteading in small town Georgia! The future is bright for this ambitious family, and they are excited to see where life takes them next, adventurous and motivated to put in the hard work and dedication so that they can raise their children with the cozy small town values that align with their faith and so their family can live a beautiful life on sprawling land with room to roam and explore! "It really our whole vision coming to life, our big dream in this small town, our happily ever after!" Cullen and Janette happily both agree.
