📣 Holiday Closure Announcement

All Newport News Commissioner of the Revenue office locations will be closed on Wednesday, November 26, Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

We are truly thankful for our Newport News community and wish everyone a safe, joyful, and restful holiday weekend.

Our office will reopen on Monday, December 1, and we look forward to serving you then. 🧡🥧

🦃 City Closures and Schedule Changes

With Thanksgiving approaching, expect closures and schedule changes for city offices and services. Details below:

🏢 City Offices: Closed Nov. 26-28
📚 Libraries: Closed Nov. 26–28
🏫 Recreation Centers: Closed Nov. 27–28
🎾 Huntington Park Pickle Pall and Tennis Courts: Closed Nov. 27
🏛️ Historic Sites: Closed Nov. 27

🗑️ Garbage, Recycling, and Bulk Waste: Collections for Nov. 27 moved to Dec. 1. All regular scheduled collections for the week of Dec. 1 will be delayed by one day. There will be no delay for 18-gallon Black Bin recyclers.

♻️Recovery Ops Center: Closed Nov. 26–30
🐾 Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter: Adoption Center: Closed Nov. 27, reopens Nov. 28 | Reunite Lobby: Limited Operational Schedule (10 a.m.–12 p.m. for animal reclaim)
