Donor Body Alert: The Nova is a great transformer-coupled mic body. It's heavy and pro feeling, has a great headbasket and can be adapted with my boards and capsules with a choice of high-end transformers

This mic is in like new condition in its original box with a bag, mic cable and mic stand hardware. This would be an excellent mic for recording vocals, horns or any other situation. Tried to show it from all angles.

Donor body alert. This is an older style 991. It's a heavier/thicker-walled body and the bottom screws in (instead of having little teeny tiny set screws that are easy to strip).
My SDC rebuild is a KM84 circuit with choice of transformer (Cinemag, etc) and 3U Audio Capsule (card, super-card, omni)

MXL 991 Small Diaphragm Condenser Microphone Not Tested. Condition is For parts or not working. Shipped with USPS Ground Advantage.

770 build #1 is in progress. The v1.00 boards arrive and everything actually fits and lines up

Finally getting around to drawing a MXL-770 footprint board. Same dimensions as the 990 but with external pad and filter switches. The transformer will be on a daughter board on standoffs. Was able to fit the internal pattern switch too! Same BFM (Big F'n Microphone) circuit based on the KM84.

A lovely matched pair of KM-84 style SDC builds on the bench. All of my customers are VIPs, but this is for an extra very VIP

My new favorite donor- the MXL5000. Solid, good weight, great headbasket, pad and filter switches. The 5000 board has a great layout with room for the transformer and all components on one side. Easy to open to access the internal pattern switch. All boxes checked! I picked the roughest looking body to build my own personal one in. It's got a CK12 style capsule and the cinemag transformer.
